El Toro Zoysia is a green colored and medium texture. It is particularly tolerant to drought conditions and resistant to disease. It stands up to wear exceptionally well and is a good choice for both commercial and residential. It can be planted year round. Fertilize once per year, usually in early spring. A light compost is suggested instead of chemicals. Water as needed (observe stress or wilting areas), but when watering, ensure that one half inch of soil beneath the surface is sufficiently soaked. El Toro Zoysia needs to be mowed every 7 to 10 days during the growing season. As the temperature cools in the winter, El Toro Zoysia will slow its growth, and then turn a shade of brown until the following spring.
